1. Flash over Simulator (SAT)

This 8-hr class was developed to introduce students to the warning signs and conditions leading up to the Flashover. Several hours of classroom presentation will be followed by the students witnessing actual Flashover Simulator.

  • Firefighter I, SCBA proficiency, Verification form signed by Chief
  • Equipment (Structural) PPE with SCBA. Need to be Facial hair compliant.

2. Arson (For fire and EMS) (SAT)

This class will provide students with the basic knowledge and skills that will aid fire investigation. It cover Arson and Scene Preservation by protecting and securing the scene from damage from fire suppression and over hall operations, and other entity’s on a fire scene.

3. Crack House (For fire and EMS) (SUN)

This class will Cover Methamphetamine and Clandestine Drug Lab Awareness course. we will cover labs, Lab recognition, current trends and what to do. It will also cover recent topics such as the chemical suicides and the dangers they present as well. Both these topics are eye openers for attendees and actually shocks and scares many to see what we really have in our community’s right under your noses.

4 Basic Pumps (SAT)

This course is an introduction to pump operations. Building on basic theory the course will introduce firefighters to basic pump operation and maintenance. Priming and drafting will be explored in depth using classroom theory and practical application. Pump problem troubleshooting and preventive maintenance will be covered. Practical sessions will include work with both portable and main fire pumps.

5. Emergency Traffic Control: (For fire and EMS) (SAT)

This course conveys information needed for working safely in and around emergency Temporary traffic control areas and leave the class with an understanding of the dangers involved with flagging. This course is based on information from the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), part 61. Importance of correct flagging procedures, Identification of traffic control devices, vehicle locations at an emergency scene, safety and responsibilities.

6. Untimely (SAT)

This course will provide legal and practical instruction on the fundamentals of locating, protecting, preserving and investigating untimely human deaths. We will identify who has statutory authority at a death scene, when the body can be moved, who can move the body and the process of the medico-legal investigation.

7. Rapid Intervention Team “Rit The Way” (3 Hour) class (SUN)

The fire service is a dynamic profession ever changing. Since OSHA 2 in 2 out rule and Rapid Intervention Companies have been put into the fire services common knowledge, what have we learned. I bet you will not believe your eyes and ears. This dynamic power packed eye and ear opening program will show you probably what you didn’t know or want to hear. However, the truth will set you free. Chief Cline will take you through a roller coaster ride as real incident case studies are reviewed and looked at what went wrong with the rapid intervention teams. What you will see in this informative program may change how you do business on the fire ground.

8. Read The Smoke ( 3hr ) class (SUN)

Fighting fires in the year 2011 and beyond will be unlike the fires we fought in the 1900’s. Composites, lightweight construction, engineered structures, and unusual fuels will cause hostile fires to burn hotter, faster, and less predictable. As a fire Officer – or Firefighter – you Must be able to predict fire behavior and hostile fire events. If you don’t or can’t, firefighters will die or be critically injured. The key to predicting fire behavior is directly related to your ability to READ SMOKE as you arrive and begin firefighting operations.

9. First Due (SUN)

This program focuses on the responsibilities of the first due engine and truck company at a fire in a private residential dwelling. These fires are our basic and most common types of incidents and yet we’re still losing firefighters in them. In this session, participants will review operations and learn about common mistakes made during fires in private dwellings and leave with the understanding of the need for coordination and control at these scenes.
